Welcome!
I photograph stillness. The moment water turns to silk and noise disappears. Mainly in black & white, as colors tend to distract me (and the viewer) from the subject and it provides a sense of timelessness, which I love. To deepen the connection with my subject, I quite often shoot on film with an analog camera. The limitation of having only 12 frames available on a film forces me to slow down and carefully work on a composition and exposure. Talking about exposures, these are usually quite long to achieve the stillness I just mentioned. Although I love black & white, I tend to shoot some color images as well when this suits the subject. These images can be either digital or analog, just what seems right. To summarize: photography is a thoughtful process for me.
I hope you like what you see. Please feel free to get in touch with me should you have any questions or comments. Also, be sure to sign up to my mailing list to be informed on my upcoming print sales! Many thanks for this in advance.
Some background
In 2021 I have been interviewed by Mark de Rooij from Mark de Rooij Fotografie about my photographic work, mainly focussing on my b&w long exposure work. Sorry, in Dutch only….

The YouTube channel Black And White Profusion honored my be appointing me ‘featured artist’ and they made a wonderfully executed video on my black & white photographic work. Have a look and give them a thumbs up:
Some chest pounding
Very proud and grateful to announce that my series ‘Ever After’ was awarded the 1st prize in the category ‘Film/Analog - Fine Art, non-professional’ in the 2024 edition of the International Photography Awards. I am particularly stoked because this was the first time I (a) entered a series instead of single images and (b) this is the first time I submitted images that were captured on film with my trusty Hasselblad.
